Adult Health

Giving you the support you need to enjoy a full and active life.

Oxfordshire GP surgeries and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trusts Adult Services provide a range of health care services for people of working age.

Health Checks

Everyone between the ages of 40 and 74, who has not already been diagnosed with a chronic condition will be invited (once every five years) to have a check to assess their risk of developing a chronic condition/diabetes and will be given support and advice to help them reduce or manage that risk. You will be invited by your GP surgery, but if eligible you can arrange this yourself. Read more here...

Out-of-Hours GP Centres, A&E and Minor Injuries

There is information on services available outside of normal GP surgeries, including Accident and Emergency, Minor Injury Units, Urgent Dental Services and Out of Office Doctors. Please note in an emergency you should always dial 999. Read more about Out of Hours and Minor Injuries.

X-rays and Ultrasound

A GP will sometimes request that you attend for an x-ray, ultrasound and other diagnostic tests, which (depending on the type of test) are provided at local community hospitals, the main Hospitals or in some cases local providers in Witney and Wantage.  Your appointment will be arranged by your GP Surgery.

Sexual Health and Contraception

There are a number of clinics in locations throughout Oxfordshire. All offer basic sexual health screening (tests), treatment, contraception and advice. Read more here...
